I agree,I hope to GOD!!!it all works out.I also would like to see a less well known cast in the main leads,if you stick the likes of big A listers like say George Clooney in it for example I think the rough realism that made us all HUGE fans of the graphic novel would be lost.I also hope(and this may not happen)that the ending is kept exactly as it is in the book,I mean look what happened with FROM HELL.

I complained about Snyder as director of the Watchmen movie,but then I thought...things could be a lot worse..it could fall into the hands of michael bay,roland emmerich or even much worse..joel schumacher

I think that Watchmen is going to kick ass, especially with Zach Snyder keeping it with an R rating, hopefully he'll do Alan Moore justice.

I understand your point and I sincerely hope that you're right. However, I can't help thinking that to 'summarise' Watchmen into a movie, important elements will be omitted. The only way this could be achieved is to have Moore drafting the script which will unfortunately never happen. I just hope the subtleties of the GN will be represented well - similar to how LOTR was transferred to the big screen.

It should be two movies, the first one ending with Rorschach's capture by the police. The second one starts with him talking to the psychologist.

@bagotut: It sounded like he just didnt want to go into it. He mentionned the possibility of keeping the Black Freighter in the story which is encouraging. I think that for certain shows one cannot go into details as the viewers are not familiar with the source material; it would all be jibberish to them.

Being a Brit and an avid Moore fan, I am very concerned with this directors lack of understanding and above all, depth of understanding of the source material. 300 was a linear GN which is why it translated so well to the screen - Watchmen is TOTALLY different.
