Description:

Y'ever hear a song and go, 'Man, that sounds just like...'? Well so did I. In fact, I found songs that not only sound like other songs, but they may as well practically BE those other songs! So, for your listening pleasure, I slapped them all together into a nice little slide show for you to listen and watch and go, 'Hey, you're absolutely right, BakNBlack, this video is so great I think I'll show all my friends and their friends and their friends, and I'll subscribe to your videos and send you $50 in the mail and...' Okay, maybe that's wishful thinking. But here you go anyway, free of charge, enjoy!

What's really funny is that Nickleback has two songs that are identical. Same friggin song, different lyrics. I can't remember which two, because I can't really stand them, but if you google it, there is a page out there on it.

Description:

Greenpeace activists threw a curve ball at a Kleenex advertising shoot at Wrigley Field in Chicago -- home of the Chicago Cubs. Kimberly-Clark, the maker of Kleenex, is driving the destruction of ancient Boreal forests that are home to cubs, bears and other wildlife. Beating the advertisers at their own game, it was Cubs and Bears 1, Kleenex 0 in Chicago. Campaign info at http://www.kleercut.net Video by NotAnAlternative

You are thinking of ELF. They are the terrorists. I don't mind Greenpeace doing demonstrations like that; it's classic. What I have a problem with is orgs like ELF bombing homes and businesses while cutting hydrolic lines on backhoes further endangering the environment. go earth

What about all the big box retailers who carry ONLY Kleenex and other brands who also clearcut the boreal forest? When the retailers go green and start selling alternatives, this campaign will stand a MUCH better chance of having a major impact. Well-meaning buyers who switch to Puffs, Scotties, etc., *aren't* saving the forest. How about holding Wal*Mart accountable for its "greening" and pushing them to offer only Marcal or Seventh Generation? THAT would really have an impact!

If you want to stop KC, SUE THEM - don't dance around in bear costumes and sing. You think Erin Brockovich would have been successful dressing as a fish dying in toxic sludge?! Also, Green"peace" is borderline terrorist

Another thing: Bill Wolf's voice sounds almost like that of KNBC's Victor Bozeman - who died the year this aircheck originated.

Let me correct that: The announcer's spelling was actually Bill Wolff (with two "f's"), and he is perhaps most famous as announcer of the soap "Another World" from 1964 to 1987. But as I said about his voice . . .

Interesting how WNBC's sign-off newscasts differed from the more elaborate ones of KNBC in L.A. - which had more in common with WPIX up to the late 1970's.
