Get a percentage in your mind as to how much knowledge you believe you have attained to this point in your life. .. Lets say you have gained 1% of all knowledge to this point . There is no reason to believe in the Christian God moreso than a Shinto God. The make the point that humans know so little about the universe, yet religion texts assume to provide the answers to the greatest mysteries of life ie: the origin and meaning of life and the universe, and what happens after death. But I don't believe atheists reject the idea that it is possible that SOMETHING created the universe. However, atheists do not BELIEVE that something created the universe.
