Imagine if US troops pull into a war and kill almost 1 million people, but the government lies and says it's only 50,000. Call it Iraq.

do you think staying in iraq any longer will prevent that from happening? do you think staying in Iraq another 5, 10, or 20 years will have a possitive enough impact to offset the killings that would happen from an inevitable pullout or should we stay forever?

Imagine if US troops pulled out of a difficult war and 1.2 million people died. Call it Cambodia. World Peace is not the absence of US involvement abroad. It requires someone to stand up to prevent genocide. The blood is already on our hands from the "Run Away" policy in IndoChina. Millions are dying in brutal genocidal wars in Africa (Rwanda, Congo, Sudan) because the US does nothing. Do you really want to add another million deaths in Iraq to the list? Think about it.

one of the problems is we do not have enough people protesting, imagine if two million people marched on washington dc to end this war where i live (spokane, washington, population 200,000 within city limits, half a million locally) Im not even sure we had more than 200 people protesting the iraq war
