If Kenpachi knew the name of his zanpaktou then it'd be over. Kenpachi owns it too damn much. He tanked two Bankais from two different captains. When hollow Ichigo told Ichigo that he was Zangetsu he meant that he(Ichigo's inner hollow) had become so strong and was taking over Ichigo's mind and spirit that, instead of Ichigo and Zangetsu becoming one, now Hollow and Zangetsu were one.
