55oiram ::: Favorites People who believed to much in Bible or one who always use the name of god are weak people. They are always seeking and defending for something that never exist. 07-08-09 05:26:07 _____________________________________________________
CoquiDave ::: Favorites Hi Jim, I can't name the chapter and verse, but in the Bible, Jesus says that there will be some called to be healers, some to speak in tongues, some to preach, some to... etc., etc., etc. MY interpretation of this is that, because God made each of us unique, including the way our minds work, can find a path towards God that makes sense to US, (as individuals.) CoquiDave ::: Favorites I can "understand" many different beliefs people have, but understanding why they've come to their conclusions doesn't mean I'm going to agree with them. The whole thing about "faith" is that is inherently unprovable. Otherwise, it'd be called "fact". Spiritual matters are rarely provable, because they lie outside the realm of a shared experience, (similar to dreams, or emotions.) 07-01-29 01:58:46 _____________________________________________________
Talljim01 ::: Favorites 1 Corinthians chapter 12 has gifts in it. 07-01-29 02:39:04 _____________________________________________________
CoquiDave ::: Favorites Thanks, Jim, MY understanding of that verse is that there will be different roles for each of us to play in God's plan, and the different sects of Christianity fit different roles better. Some folks are more comfortable drawing near to God through the beautiful ceremony that the Catholics have, others through the Charismatics. What's important, I believe, is that people are drawn closer to God, not the ritual differences of how that occurs. 07-01-29 02:50:32 _____________________________________________________

petmark81 ::: Favorites Great video. I think you should say why to believe A, but also why not to believe B. If you can render argument B to be illogical and/or false, that's one less reason against, and in return one more reason for A. 06-12-31 04:09:04 _____________________________________________________
vitalfinds ::: Favorites Thats one major complaint I have about Athiests, they dont really try and explain their side. 06-12-30 15:54:38 _____________________________________________________
SmallPressFan ::: Favorites It's a good quote (and video), but Descartes ignores WILLFUL ignorance. We are only human, and some humans are just unable to change their mind, no matter how well you make your case (this goes on all sides). Human history bears this out over and over and over again I'm afraid. Anyway, thanks; and best wishes for a VERY happy New Year! 06-12-30 06:43:03 _____________________________________________________
