I think there scared off a new way of thinking. Like how a fat kid in a new school might make fun of himself before someone elase makes fun of them.

Hehe.. it's ok, I understand where they're coming from. Society tends to mold the weakest into repelling against those who disregard such blatant mindwash. It's like a defense mechanism. ;)

just as every time you lift a weight, your arm tells you, "I don't want to do this", so does your brain when you focus on multiple complex abstracts, which is what you are doing. It's really no different than if you were "almost" going to solve a math problem. what you need is a cognitive calculator and a formula, then you will have your answer

Behind all logic and its seeming sovereignty of movement, too, there stand physiological demands for the preservation of a certain type of life." -(edited Nietzsche) So just as your body tells you not to touch fire, you're brains cognitive functioning has been predisposed to function in a certain way. You are able to think outside of your mental comfort zone(as you are able to lift a car), but it requires cogitive reprogramming.

"conscious thinking must still be included among instinctive activities. we have to relearn here, as one has had to relearn about heredity and what is "innate." As the act of birth deserves no consideration in the whole process of heredity, so "being conscious" is not the opposite of what is instinctive:most conscious thinking is secretly guided and forced into certain channels by instincts...
