Description: I always find cemeteries to be a place of peace and introspection about "the meaning of life", and what it means to have truly "lived", and "living life to the fullest", and enjoying all that life has to offer, and not being afraid to seek out what you want out of life . . . because as "they" say . . . "NOBODY gets out of life ALIVE, so you might as well enjoy it, and make the most of it while you're HERE!" So today, when I again heard Bette Midler's version of "The Rose" on the radio, I immediately knew that that was the song I wanted to use for this video project, which shows "Denne Cemetery", one of the really interesting old cemeteries in a corner of Horsham, England. |

(I actually sang it the other night when I did Evergreen!) What a beautiful cemetary. I love what you wrote in the description, too. No one gets out alive... BIG HuG!! __________________________________________________

blysuk52 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 08:33:36 Enjoyed your video once again, a lovely part of our country Horsham. I agree with what you say about cemeteries and them being a peaceful place for introspection. __________________________________________________
LifeJourneyGuy ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 10:49:09 I try to envision the lives of the people who lived in the 1700s who are now in the cemetery; must have been a ROUGH life in those days of England!!, and then I wonder what they would think if they could see their Horsham world of 2007!, with the cars and trucks and the fast pace of life! __________________________________________________
kathykeane ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 12:19:26 i love old cemeteries - this one looks really peaceful. When you look at the older headstones its sad to see how many of them relate to children. In general we live so much longer these days that we run away with the idea that we are going to live forever __________________________________________________
LifeJourneyGuy ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 12:48:34 Great point Kathy! In this cemetery you sometimes notice that all the young children in a family died within days of each other, probably because of a contagious illness. The grief of the parents afterwards would have been almost unbearable! __________________________________________________
grandplans ::: Favorites 2007-11-09 23:31:06 Very beautiful and peaceful looking. __________________________________________________
