It's an incredible piece -- and makes you wonder what Vereen would have done with the Amos Hart role in the original production of Chicago. (He's such the Bob Fosse dancer; you just know it would have been splendid.) Even better, Vereen's a very smart man and would know Bert Williams, the referent for Amos' character -- which makes it even wilder when he channels Al Jolson at the end of the piece.
