GrayFoxsDen ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 05:21:36 Im planning to get one, what do u think, an umbrella or moluccan? __________________________________________________
Halpin2006 ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 14:53:10 All I know is that Moluccans are far more noisy and freaky than Umbrellas. I'd go with the Umbrella, but that's just how I feel. __________________________________________________
oogajones ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 16:21:35 I am involved in parrot rescue so I have had experience with both. Both are loud and needy. Both have to be kept very busy w/ toys but I feel the Umbrella is a little more active. I also feel the Umbrella is a little better of a talker if that is important to you, although neither is a great talker. Both make excellent pets as long as you can give them the time and space they require. Don't spoil them though or you will have a loud clingy Cockatoo. __________________________________________________
GrayFoxsDen ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 18:38:21 I really dont want to spoil them but its hard not too! but can you tell me what not to do to spoil them please? __________________________________________________
oogajones ::: Favorites 2007-06-11 20:34:22 keep him on a schedule from the beginning that you will be able to keep forever. make sure he has his time with you and also that he has time to play in your cage. If you keep him with you all the time, then when you have to put him in his cage he will scream and when they get going they can go for hours. __________________________________________________
GrayFoxsDen ::: Favorites 2007-06-12 01:19:21 That sounds like good advice, Thanks alot. Now to save up $1,500 =O __________________________________________________
oogajones ::: Favorites 2007-06-12 07:38:30 if there is a rescue in your area, a lot of times you can get a really good bird for a lot cheaper. It might be worth looking into. __________________________________________________
Halpin2006 ::: Favorites 2007-06-12 20:45:30 I never thought about a boing swing! That's so interesting. Where do you get one of those? __________________________________________________
oogajones ::: Favorites 2007-06-12 21:09:42 anywhere they sell parrot perches and toys has them. Just do an online search __________________________________________________
qtpidani ::: Favorites 2007-06-16 13:06:41 Cute! I see that loud pitched shriek isn't selective to my M2...I've thought about investing in ear plugs :) __________________________________________________
scubaahood ::: Favorites 2007-07-20 20:32:17 You should adopt NOT buy __________________________________________________
